Anne Marie Cheney was born in Chicago and grew up in suburban Philadelphia. She is a retired nurse, with a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in nursing. She has worked in intensive care and coronary units as a bedside nurse, charge nurse, head nurse, and clinical specialist. She was vice president and president of the Milwaukee Chapter of the Wisconsin Nurses Association and also served as an assistant adjunct professor of nursing at two universities in Wisconsin. For the last 20 years of her career, she worked in hospice care both here and in San Diego. Anne Marie has a large extended family scattered around the country and a close circle of dear friends here in Sonoma County. She has been attending the Center since 2003 and looks forward to deepening her connections here through service on the board.
